In Aruba the word ‘Conchi’ means bowl. You can find this ‘bowl’ of crystal clear blue water in the Arikok National Park in Aruba. The pool is a very popular spot and draws visitors from all around the world. Dipping into this cool natural pool is the perfect reward after the long trip to get to it.
The environment surrounding the pool is rough and dry and the only way to reach it is by foot, horseback or 4×4 vehicle. The visitor center of Arikok Park is only a 25 minute drive away from Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives. When you arrive at the visitor center of Arikok Park you must purchase a visitor pass to the pool. It is about a 3.5 mile trip to get to the pool which is located on the coast. The trip is well worth it plus it makes for great sight seeing. Make sure to bring your camera!
The sight of the swimming hole is striking. The pool is located on the coast and is protected on three sides by large rocks that break the waves. The constant breeze and cool water are perfectly refreshing. The pool measures at roughly 20′ by 25′ and can be 17′ deep depending on the tide.
Some visitors bring snorkeling gear with them to the pool. Make sure to bring water and sunscreen. If you do plan to bring your gear with you to the rocks be sure to store them in a water proof bag. With the waves constantly crashing on the nearby rocks, your camera and phones are at risk of getting wet.
