Spent a long weekend (Friday – Tuesday) at the Divi with my girlfriend and enjoyed every second of it. First time visiting Aruba and plan on making many more visits. The rooms were ok, need to be spruced up a bit….you cant beat the location of the rooms. Walk 35 feet from your front door room and you have the white sand between your toes. We stayed in Vista 1 and you cant beat it.
Service was ok, sometimes slow or none at all, but we made do. Breakfast buffet was good, there is only so much you can offer for breakfast. Lunch buffet needs improving. Dinner was good – Red Parrot was very good and Paparazzi was ok. Highly recommend Windows on Aruba…celebrated my girlfriends birthday with a champagne toast watching the sunset and ended the night with a saxophone serenade of Happy Birthday…food was by far the best of the weekend, worth the extra $$.
Did the couples massage on the beach…a very relaxing experience, nothing beats listening to the waves hit the white sandy beach. You had the occasional kid crying or people talking but you were on a public beach in a family resort.
Absolutely loved the resort, an empty amazing beach, plenty of chairs, beautiful water, unbelievable sunrises and sunsets, decent entertainment at night, dancing under the stars and even enjoyed the short walk to the Tam for all it has to offer. We can't wait to go back again!!
