We have just returned from paradise having stayed at the Divi over Christmas. The beach was absolutely beautiful in Aruba, and breath taking……just steps away from our room. Incredible!!!
It was truly an amazing place to visit and relax. Every evening you could see a beautiful sunset.
Having read all the reviews prior to leaving we did have some concerns. However they were quickly put to rest once we arrived at the resort. We had requested an ocean view room in the Vista 1 section with a king size bed and that is exactly what we received. The room was non-smoking (that was a plus as we were not sure this option would be available). From the start of our vacation right to the end we found the resort staff to be incredibly attentive and helpful. Service was always prompt and the staff seemed to be very happy. Dinner reservations were easy to make with the concierge in the lobby. We went around 8am after breakfast and were able to get suitable times for our family each time.
This all inclusive resort includes the use of the Tamarijn resort as well. You will want to take advantage of the great nightly entertainment, including the restaurants and bars. We would often just walk up the beach to get there. Alternatively you can use the shuttle. The whole resort (Divi and Tamarijn) is very family friendly and safe. We had an experience where my wife left her purse on a chair in a very busy beach bar area at the Tamarijn. We did not realize the purse was missing for perhaps 30 to 40 minutes. By that time we had made our way back to the Divi. We approached the Divi concierege who told us not to worry as the purse would still be there. He promptly called a shuttle to take us back to the Tamarijn and sure enough the purse was still there with all the contents.
We were very impressed with the lack of pressure from people trying to sell you something. We did not encounter people approaching us at the airport, in town or at the resort. (including time share) Resort people were also not expecting tips although they were certainly appreciated. Overall, this was one of the best resorts we have ever stayed in. We were so impressed with Aruba and all it has to offer. We are definitely going back, and can't wait to see Aruba again in the near future!
