Our beloved Inchi’s last day at Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives is TODAY. She’s retiring after 45 years of employment at the Divi & Tamarijn and she will surely be missed!
Inchi’s first day was on July 20, 1969, the day Divi Aruba opened. She remembers this day very well because it was the same day that Apollo 11 landed on the moon! Inchi was the very first Front Desk Clerk at the Divi and remembers that she had to use a hand cranked cash register to check people in to the resort. After 13 years at the front desk, she transferred to reservations and has been part of the team for the last 32 years. She is the last original employee to retire!
Inchi’s favorite part about working for the Divi has always been the people, her fellow staff members, colleagues around the world and most importantly, the guests who have become her friends. She says the Divi is the BEST hotel to work for on Aruba!
Inchi comes from a very large family with 6 sisters and 7 brothers! Inchi’s husband is retired as well, so they plan to spend more time together and with family. She is already planning a trip to Florida with her family next spring.
Inchi wants to say ‘Masha Danki!’ to all of the long time guests for all the years of coming to the hotels, and that she will miss working with them!
The Divi & Tamarijn Aruba would like to say ‘Masha Danki!’ to Inchi for all her hard work, years of service and beautiful smile! Congratulations on your retirement!
